atari2600land
Aaaand, here is version 30. The background color changes on the title screen periodically, you can play in black and white AND the reset switch works. Tried it in Stella and it works great. Haven't tried it on real hardware yet. All this and bass AND treble music and there's 1 byte to spare on my setup. (It might not compile at all using your setup. I've specially made one for 2k games so I don't have to use various default settings I don't need, like pfscrolling.) bf30.bas.bin
atari2600land
I figured that since the timer in Explosive Diarrhea counted downwards, then that the timer in Larry the Lemon should do the same (it counted upwards.) In this version, once the timer reaches 0, the game ends. bf31.bas.bin
atari2600land
Playing with end label designs. Also, are these pictures 300 dpi? I'm trying to figure out how to make 300 dpi images with Photoshop.
KaeruYojimbo
Resolution is in the image size dialogue box. If I know I'm making something for print, I set it to 300dpi before I do anything else. These are 300.99dpi.

atari2600land
New version. I made it so if you touch the banana, you lose 3 seconds off the clock, like it was before. I also changed the sfx a little. I had to in order to get it to fit in 2k again. bf32.bas.bin
atari2600land
Yet another new version. I noticed that the thing to get wasn't going as far right as the maze, and a quick look through the code revealed why. But it wasn't that quick to solve the problem. It took a few hours, but not only did I solve it, I was able to change the pfcolor in game. To do this, I had to change the pfcolor yellow tint a little. I've used lots of weird tricks to make this 2k, so this game presented itself a real challenge to do. Let me know if you see any bugs. I do know that if you touch the banana and go back to the starting place and the thing to get is there too, that the game will play the "I got the thing" note instead of the "I touched the enemy" note, but that shouldn't happen very often. I also had to put PF0=$ff in the game to get it to work properly, so there are now borders to the left and right of the screen always. bf33.bas.bin
atarifan2600
Good progress so far, atari2600land! I do like how the title screen is all yellow, since the character is a lemon....! I wonder how this game will turn out in the end...
atari2600land
Thank you! Found a bug. If the bally<12 then the ball will bounce along the top wall and out of the screen. So I fixed that. Also, I put in the other title screen because I found a way to only have the PF0 be displayed during the game and not on the title screen. bf34.bas.bin Edited December 29, 2014 by atari2600land

atari2600land
Thank you for doing that. Here is another end label I made up. This will be the fourth one. I hope this game gets released in 2015.

atari2600land
Tested it on my harmony cart. I found that the colors in b&w mode had been weird and the background color was too dark to see the citrus meter. So I changed the b&w colors. 2 bytes left. I've decided that since the game is almost finished to stop putting binary files here and instead you can go to the official Larry the Lemon website at http://www.atari2600land.com/larrythelemon/
atari2600land
New version. I think I made it so at the beginning when the colors change, they don't change to yellow (or the shade of gray that COLUPF has). This was my second attempt at it. Attempt #1 was a complete failure. I also changed the score font, making the numbers thicker, and (hopefully) easier to read. 0 bytes left.
Atarius Maximus
It's a cool game, and you are the king of 2k 2600 games atari2600land! With the timer on this one the game involves a fair amount of sheer luck. The only strategy I've come up with is to get the lemon close to you and have it follow you closely for the entire game, which makes it a bit easier. Because of the timer I imagine there is a max score that would be possible, my best is 38. Having some way to get bonus time would increase replay value I think.
Atarius Maximus
Just as an idea to expand on what I said yesterday, maybe a missile/ball could be put on the screen randomly that gives you an extra 3 seconds or so back? I know you don't have any space left and a compromise would have to be made somewhere else to fit it in. It's a cool game as-is.
atari2600land
I changed the look of the game. I don't know if people will like it, though. Here are some pictures of the newer version. #1 I thought the spelling of the game using the playfield pixels was boring and overused (I even did it in "Explosive Diarrhea"), so I went with this instead. #2 Since I had to redo a few things, I had to change the background color in the game. It ended up being red. I didn't pick red, but it ended up that way since I had to match another already determined value to save space. So this is what it looks like now. #3 I wanted the score to be a Wide Latin-type font, so I changed that as well. I can change it back if it's too unreadable. That's very easy to do.

atari2600land
I need help. I just didn't want this to be a timed game, so I decided that if I don't want it to be a timed game, then I would like to make the banana move gradually faster until a top speed is attained. Say, once every 8 crosses Larry gets, the banana moves faster, just to make this simple. Because I don't know how to do this, so I need your help. I tried various methods and I just can't get it to gradually move faster. Here is the code. You have 19 bytes left. I moved around some code and got rid of unnecessary add-ons for this version. Anyone care to help? bf37b.bas
atari2600land
So I went back and redid a few things. I can now pick the colors for the playfield and the pfscorebar. I chose green for the playfield and red for the pfscorebar, but I can change it if I felt like it without screwing up the whole game. But one thing I do want to remark is I have 0 bytes left. I still would like feedback on the score numbers. Are they ok and readable, or should I go with something else? bf39.bas.bin
atari2600land
OK, I fixed a lot of the bugs that v. 39 had, and present you a v. 40. Here are the changes: + pfscorebar (citrus power) now gray. + I have 1 byte left (or as Visual bB likes to say it "1 bytes left." I can't really do much with 1 byte to spare though. bf40.bas.bin
