I also have a tough time shooting left.I'm not sure how much more I want to play this game, I don't want my controller to break.I feel like I'm being very rough with it trying to shoot left and on an angle.I also hate when the bad guys respawn right on top of me too.I think pause might work to get a better picture of the high score. I'll try it on my DC emulator and see how it plays with the analog stick. (it just won't count though) Update: played this morning using analog thumbstick instead of the D-pad and got 4,510 as a best of 3 runs. D-pad actually did worse. Worked fine Have a score but no pic as left the damn Disk at the other house. I've tried the actual cart and my multi cart in my 4 port and the game does not function as it should , I have no left or down movement.. Is this a calibration issue or do I have to play this on a 2 port. in which case I am screwed for a score with picture becuase I wont be back to the cottage until monday... No threat by anystretch as I had 5100 something for a score. While fiddling with the calibration might help, the problem is actually probably with your joystick. The first one I tried had issues similar to yours. I had noticed last week that it had trouble reaching the topmost area in Missile Command, and sure enough, it wouldn't go up at all in Shootout. If you don't have another stick, you might try opening it up and manually adjusting the tiny white plastic arm on the pot to get the range you need. Also, this is one of the games that doesn't work at all with most 2 port systems. There is a hacked binary available however that will let you play it using your multicart.
