Mord
Do you know if they ripped out parts of the game in Yakuza 4 like they did with the earlier games in the franchise? Granted the parts ripped out were side things, but from what I've read it really pissed off a lot of fans. That being said, I'll give it a shot since it'll be free. I think I have #2 on ps2 somewhere still unopened. ^^ I think some people have called it a spiritual successor to the Shenmue series... Yeah Sega just went with the Yakuza series and they still make Yakuza games but its like pulling teeth trying to get them to release them here. Notes (I've played and beat them all including Shenmue of course): - Yakuza 1 and 2 are the best story-wise. Written by a popular Japanese author I was very impressed. Kept me playing just to see what happens next.... (Definitely play them in order) - Yakuza 3 is the game with cut content. It's mostly Japanese oriented mini games, quizes that would make little sense to western players. Hosts clubs too but the game is still adult oriented and you still go on "dates" but I didn't mind the cuts that much. Yakuza 3 is like an "epilogue chapter" to the first two games so it was a must play for me. - Sega left Yakuza 4 intact for the most part. It does feature the main character from the first three games but this time its about 4 different characters (ala Reservoir Dogs) and its OK but just didn't resonate as much with me. - Yakuza Dead Souls is a non canon "What If" type game where the zombie apocalypse takes over the Yakuza game world. It's tongue in cheek fun which I never got back to finishing it.
cimerians
Dishonored is free next month, its IMO a way better replacement to the average and disappointing Thief......
