sportman4
Which Atari has the more games on it and best one to get Atari Flashback 64 Atari Flashback 1 Review Atari Flashback 2 Review Atari Flashback 3 Review Atari Flashback 4 Deluxe Review
+LS650
If you want to modify it so it has a cart slot, get the FB2. Otherwise get the FB4 Deluxe. It has the most included ROMs and includes replica paddles as well as joysticks.
LidLikesIntellivision
You asked which Atari to get but gave only Atari Flashback options! If you're buying a Flashback, go for the moddel that can be modded to have a slot cart added! I think it is the FB 2, not sure. But it's good to say I didn't buy a Flashback when I decided to have an Atari again. If you want the best of Atari (and you can spend more), buy an old Atari 2600 console, joysticks, paddles and ....... the Harmony Cart! EDIT -- ls650 was faster than me for a sec! He confirmed the FB2 as the one that can have a slot added!

+Gemintronic
You know, another option is to get a real Atari 2600 and a Harmony flash cart. That way you can have a never ending library of games at your disposal without swapping out carts. Also, with batari BASIC you can create games and put them on your Harmony cart. You obviously have a handle on computing. I find creating classic games is a great stress relief / creative outlet
Dauber
From my personal experience, the best Atari 2600 to get is an Atari 7800.

sportman4
ATARI Flashback® 4 Deluxe at Amazon is it used or new for 80 dollars and what does non machine specific mean ?
Rex Dart
ATARI Flashback® 4 Deluxe at Amazon is it used or new for 80 dollars and what does non machine specific mean ? It means it doesn't need a specific machine (game console) to work with; you plug it in and it works. If it were, say, Halo 3 you were looking at.... it would be machine-specific. +LS650
I believe the MSRP on those is $79.99. I don't think they are worth $80 myself.

sportman4
At Toys are us it is r $40 with out paddle controllers would be nice to have, as they charge $80 for that bundle. should I pick up on of those and a pair of paddles cheaper, but it might not be worth the hassle when you can get it all bundled at once or wait to get the 80 dollar ATARI Flashback® 4 Deluxe?
