+davidcalgary29
I'm looking for an avatar...and am giving away a fabu' prize to get one! THE PRIZE: A working Atari Jaguar with one controller and a loose copy of "White Men Can't Jump"! THE RULES: 1. Use your creativity! All potential designs, whether they're humourous, insulting, or obscene will be considered. Obscene avatars will not be used, but can still win. Atari-themed avatars get bonus points. 2. All entries must be posted in this thread and will be evaluated by both me and Snorlaxnut (who's getting a free game or two for his pains). 3. The contest deadline is Saturday, February 15th, at 1200 hrs.

+davidcalgary29
CPUWIZ kindly designed this for me. Can anyone make the Fuji spin? http:// http://www.cpuwiz.com/images/scat.jpg
+davidcalgary29
Actually, I love that avatar! I just thought it'd be fun to have a few competing entries, as well.
Gateway
3. The contest deadline is Saturday, February 15th, at 1200 hrs. With almost a whole year to work on it, you are sure to get some really fantastic submissions!
Happy_Dude
Someone finaly outdone pitfallamiee's prize When I was thinking about having a "Theme" instead of a static avatar I was looking aroung for some of my favorite cartoon characters and this was my second choice. Don't know if you like it but I had to enter something and for a working Jag I think "everyone" will submit something
Thomas Jentzsch
3. The contest deadline is Saturday' date=' February Which year? (next 2/15 Saturday is in 2014!) And 1200 hrs of which timezone?

joeybastard
A quickie. Can we enter more then once(I hope! I want that Jaguar!)?
+davidcalgary29
Rule addendum! 1. The contest closes on Saturday, March 15th, at 1200 MST (e.g., "Calgary time") 2. Contestants may enter as many times as they like! 3. If you're going to submit an "insulting" avatar, you are limited to targeting me or my profession. No generally stereotypical / hateful entries, please! 4. Atari-themed entries get special notice, and I'd be particularly impressed with avatars that display that SCAT, TAF, or SPACE logos. I couldn't say what Snorlaxnut, who is my other judge, will like, though. 5. The runner-up, who will be chosen by popular consensus, will receive a boxed copy of "Val D'Isere Skiing and Snowboarding" for the Atari Jaguar! +Nathan Strum
Well, this is hardly original... but you're certainly free to use it, contest or no. BTW, it's simple enough to make it spin at a different speed, spin the opposite direction, or pause when the Fuji is straight-on, if so desired. It's just a matter of editing the GIF in Fireworks, or similar software.
krisjohn
I found a cool reference on bOINGbOING this morning about someone who does pictures using Rubik's Cubes. Here's an avatar if you're interested.
