Where is Shatner when you need him ? Here we go again . Your probably not gonna have a line of people lined up to give away games and ataris to new members . But if your looking on ebay there are hundreds ... you didnt find one ... or one for free ? If you want to buy one I have one for sale with games on this link here . http://atariage.com/forums/topic/210114-atari-2600-jr-with-50-games-for-sale/

You dont have 20 bucks plus shipping to find one? There seriously is craploads of them for sale everywhere on the WWW. You want to collect retro games/systems its gonna cost some money.

Are you one of those guys that figure they can go thru life asking for people to just simply give you everything you want? Lemme guess your 23? Sweet like epic wow!!

I know post a whine story on cragslist for a sugar daddy to have his way with you for one.. whoops I totally called you out on your backup plan didnt I?

I would hope they would include games as well. Giving away a system without games is rude.

Holy crow!!! I'm nothing to you guys!!!!!! Anyway here is what i have

N64

NES

Game Gear (i got for free :) )

Master System

PS1

PS2(i got for free :) )

Xbox 360 (bad condition :( )

Xbox (from value village for $25. Was modded and had 51 built-in games! :-D )

Game Cube

Game Boy Advance SP

Yeah im thinking of getting a few more say the Neo Geo CD , Virtual Boy , Atari 2600 , 5200 , 800 , 7800 , and Lynx , as well as the Genesis and Magnavox Odyssey.

When asking for handouts it helps not to immediately brag about how stingy you are.

I really don't like this trend of people coming in and assuming the Atari 2600 is a worthless giveaway and thus it's developers and enthusiasts too. We're not even worthy of an explanation why we should give our young friend a free classic gaming system (and games).

I recently gave an N64 and 5 games away. Why? It was given to a kid stuck on a dialysis machine for half the day - stuck in a room with a broken Xbox 360. It's the "why" that makes all the difference.

This situation isn't particularly unique. There are a lot of people on the forums and on eBay who expect things for nothing or for very little money and there seems to be very little regard for the amount of work involved in selling things online.

I remember a while back when I was trying to sell some common items. An item came back unsold with a starting bid of £12.50 shipped and I received a PM from someone offering to buy the item for £10 shipped (the £12.50 covered the P&P, eBay fees and a little bit for my trouble). I thought to myself: "I recieve about a third of this money and you begrudge me a few quid for taking the photos, packaging the item and taking it to the Post Office?"

I need a part for a Disk II drive I'm repairing, will someone take theirs apart and let me pick the part I need? For free? Please post a picture and I'll point out exactly what you're to send to me. You gotta understand, I can't get to the stash of Apple II material I have because it's simply too much and neatly packed and it would take too long to unpack everything. Besides I don't want to scavenge from a NIB MIB CIB unit. That would be a shame to make one of those in-op. Surely you can appreciate that!

Buried amongst the HUGE MOUNTAIN of Apple II paraphernalia is an old H6'r no doubt. Since it's been there for many years, and I'm not using it, I can give it away. And not really miss it. I do 90% classic gaming through emulation. The VCS is totally absolutely free to anyone that wants to fund a search & recover expedition.

A breakdown of how the funds would be distributed:

1- Hazmat work gloves

2- Bug spray

3- Shovel

4- Hired help to move the material around.

5- Paper, pen, GPS, compass, to help me navigate through pile-o-stuff.

6- Time on site, food, water, supplies.

7- 3rd party to rate and grade the quality of recovered material.

8- City permit

9- DSLR to document and record acitivities.

10- Misc items not mentioned.
