Impressive! No kills for me at the moment. My record years ago was 2 kills...

Tips please!

1. After take off and you have gained some altitude...lower your engines to about 65% or lower but not too low...this will affect your turn rate and you will have to play around with this until you get the feel you want

2. Enemies do not appear until you have reached 5.0K altitude... use this to your advantage to get the feel of your plane before you start engagement...once the first enemy has hit the screen going below 5K does not stop them

3. Bogies are visible onscreen at 1800 before that you track the range through instrumentation.

4. Be fast on the trigger button...as soon as you get lock tone...FIRE....you only have a certain number of each missile and they all three have different ranges so tone lock will be at different ranges for each type of missile

5. If an enemy gets behind you do not try to bring him around the front right away...you will only waste fuel ...slow down and go downward and turn either right or left to get the enemy far enough away so when he is in front of you that you can get a tone lock on him.

6. Landing is an art unto itself and I still have trouble with it...see the manual for landing procedures...and if you want to practice landing... take off and leave your after burners on but do not go to 5K altitude and wait for you fuel to expend..once you less than 900 gallons of fuel pull back on your engines and follow the landing procedures in the manual.

This game takes awhile to "get in the groove" but once you get it...then the game becomes fun.

To switch to Machine Guns from missiles

1. After Take Off or while in flight use the Select button to get to the Threat screen then press Reset (no not for 2 seconds just press it once)

2. Use your joystick to move down to highlight M-61 then press your fire button
