ValkerieSilk
My stock controllers are overly sensitive for some games... Just wondering which 3rd party controller Colecovision fans recommend?
youki
I'd recommend modification of standard controller done by Yurkie (with the knob ball) , they are fantastic. If you like you can use also Megadrive/genesis pad.
ValkerieSilk
Sweet Thx... I'm saving my pennies for the full Yurkie mod for my secondary Colecovision system... +grips03
I make a PCB that is a clone of the super action controller minus the roller / spinner thing. Its meant for DIY arcade controller builds. It supports 4 action buttons, keypad, and 8 direction joystick Edited February 3, 2014 by grips03
adamchevy
My neo geo aes modded arcade controller. Third party company grips03 co.
Pixelboy
Third-party controllers released back in the day were all pretty crappy. They had joysticks that were either too stiff or too loose, and the ones that had good joysticks and two fire buttons didn't feature a keypad. You're better off getting Yurkie's ball-knob mod. ValkerieSilk
Possible late 2014 releases of this again. Anyone have feedback on this in terms of game play. Sure looks awesome... http://collectorvision.com/hard-arcadectrl.htm

boxpressed
oooo ... Where does one find that? Well, it's not easy. These are from back in the day and are rare as hen's teeth now, IMO. The Fire Command II and the Questar are two of the rarest sticks for the CV. Here's a link to a photo of the Questar from another thread on AA:

ValkerieSilk
Found this by the same company... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Questar-Adjustable-Speed-Blaster-Auto-Fire-Module-/301053787399?pt=US_Video_Game_Controllers&hash=item4618343d07 Well, it's not easy. Here's a good older thread on CV controllers (where I took the Questar pic from): http://atariage.com/forums/topic/120634-colecovision-controllers-anyone-have-this-joystick-type/
grownup
I hate the Colecovision's controllers. I dont even collect for the system just because I hate those so called joysticks so much. I should probably look for some 3rd part joysticks myself.

You should or better yet get the Yurkie mdded Ball-Knob Controllers because the ColecoVision is a tremendous system to collect for with an even more tremendous Homebrew scene that's getting better and better.
