atarilovesyou
So now that I have a set of Wiimotes and Chuks for the Wii, I'm thinking...what about games like Bomberman or Mario Party?...will I need more than two sticks? From what I remember of the Gamecube, each player on Mario Party needed their own stick for the mini games. But that's a lot of sticks!...maybe for the Mario Party games, it'll be cheaper to just pick up multiple GC controllers anyway, instead of more Wiimotes? Also, what sports games require all four players to use their own Wiimotes? Is it just Wii Sports and Sports Resort? FINALLY: I've looked online for a few good 'best multiplayer games on Wii' and I just don't trust em like I do the opinions here. Anybody care to give me a top five? Thanks in advance! I've also picked up two Classic Controller Pros...but I might return one. I don't know, but I'm thinking that there's not many games that will need two analog sticks at the same time. I only picked it up to play virtual games and platformers with more authenticity than the Wiimote turned sideways (which, who knows?...might work just fine!...another reason to return one of the Classics)
Atariboy
Pretty much any possible controller combination was used at least semi regularly in Wii software both as single player options or to fill out multiplayer rosters in the local multiplayer oriented Wii. If there's anything limited, it's with accessories that were near game specific like the Wii Fit balance board that had a narrow range of uses. Lots of Classic Controller compatible games. Much of my library could take advantage of them and I'd say that most utilized the analog sticks (And a good bit of the Wii U lineup can take advantage of them as well) You will need them or GCN controllers to play much of the Virtual Console since a sideways Wiimote only suffices for the earlier platforms like the NES with its 2 button gamepad.
