+playsoft
One of the very first A8 games. Instructions as per the original (below) except that it is the port 1 controller start to begin and reset to select the number of players. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-basketball_529.html I only have 2 controllers but I am told 4 work ok. Interesting backwards shooting quirk under Altirra but it does this with the original A8 version too (which goes away if I set port 2 input to none). cxl4004.bin

Charlie_
Thanks for this, as with all the other conversions. I played a few rounds of this yesterday and thought it was a lot of fun!
MAC-42
I played against the 5200 and thought it was fun. I've got two working joysticks, so maybe the little one or the Mrs. Would like to play. Too bad about not having four sticks working...we're having friends over tonight. This would have been fun. The more conversions, the merrier. These are greatly appreciated. Thanks! Edited February 21, 2014 by MAC-42

+DamonicFury
Very fun game! And extra sweet to have another 4-player title. Thank you!

Greg2600
A bit older/cruder game than unreleased RealSports Basketball. However this Alan Miller programmed game is much more playable than the Patrick Bass unreleased RS BB. http://www.atariprotos.com/5200/software/rsbasketball/121683.htm Even the finished rom is controllers terribly. Great work again Paul!! Game is lots of fun.
+playsoft
I don't know whether it was this version or the VCS one as they play about the same, but back in the day I used to be unbeatable at this (well... against the computer, my brother and my uncle anyway). This was one of the first A8 games and while the graphics look a little crude you have to admire that it only uses half the cartridge space - it fits in 4K. Also that each basketballer is a single player graphic and coloured by tracking their positions on screen.
Greg2600
It's terrific, as I said the later RealSports unreleased game looks better but plays terribly.

_The Doctor__
as usual great work, time for a franken-game. shouldn't be too hard to add the audience and alter the color of the on court markings. side and base lines could stay green and turn the others brown... putting the back board an hoops in the air etc. to give a little more floor/court. could be interesting https://hooptactics.com/Basketball_Basics_Court_Lines_&_Markings Edited May 12, 2019 by _The Doctor__
