Stella problem

Long time Stella user, long time emulation user as far as that goes. I emulated a Mac on an Atari ST before some of you were even born!! Anywho...... Problem with Stella. If set to OpenGL, The mouse is invisible in full screen mode. Can make selections, but have to have mouse in just the right spot. Works fine in software mode, but perfomance on games suffers. Frogger flickers like hell when he is on the same line as the female frog. WAY more so than usual. Also mouse is fine in windowed mode. Can switch from windowed during menu and full screen during game play, but eyes are getting bad in my old age. I need full screen. :) I have insralled latest version in a new location to test it and same thing. Any ideas???

Sorry, this is not an answer to your problem but I have a problem also in case anyone can answer. I change to phosphorous for a game to solve flicker problem but Stella doesn't save the change for the game when I exit. I would also like to save globally for all games but it doesn't seem to have an option to do this. Thanks.

I don't know the answer - but I checked my setup, and I run in "Software" without performance issues. What's your OS and hardware (which video card do you have)?

If you're using "Alt P" to toggle phosphorus, it won't save it for the next time you play the game. Select the game you want phosphorus and push the "Tab" button to access the menu. Select "Game Properties" and then go to the "Display" tab. Set Phosphorus to "yes" in the drop-down. Click "OK" and then exit the menu. Exit the game to the game selection menu, and when you restart the game, phosphorus will be set. I don't know if it's possible to set phosphorus to "yes" for all games.

My Stella on OSX used to launch any file anywhere I double-clicked on.

Now double-clicking opens the list menu and I have to "find" what and where I clicked.

What did I change? :_(

Did this happen after replacing an older version of Stella with a newer one? I've noticed this after updating Stella and after moving to 10.8. It's quickly fixed.

(If you're not sure how to do it) Highlight all of the ROMs in your folder, right click (or Control-Click). Continue to hold down Control and you should see the option "Get Summary Info". Select that and a "Multiple Item Info" window will open. Select Stella in the "Open With" drop down.

Yes. This happened after updating Stella, and then moving to 10.8.

Even though it says the default application IS Stella, this fixes my problem.

The tiny icon is blank. I've read this before.

I can only guess that this has something to do with OS X's Gatekeeper seeing each version of Stella as a completely different application.
