NightSprinter
Man, haven't posted in the forums for a while due to work.. So, I have a launch-day Gamecube from Japan that a friend has a region switch modded in. For some reason, when he pulled it out of the closet for the first time in years, it wouldn't power on. By this, I mean no orange light and no fan spinning. I took it home, tested the power supply on my North American unit with success. Tried running voltage/amperage/continuity tests with a multimeter (probably doing it wrong somehow), no results. What suggestions are there to get it working? Rex Dart
Maybe the fuse is blown? I would check that mod, too... who knows what it'd do if a wire came disconnected; maybe the same results you're seeing now.
tpugmire
It wouldn't be the fuse if there's no fan movement. The fan is wired before the fuse. It almost sounds as though the power jack might be the problem if you aren't getting anything at all, since you've tested the power supply. NightSprinter
Got the tool for testing voltage/amperage/continuity (forgot the name right now.. downside to an overclocked brain). Where on the power jack's board would you like I retest?
NightSprinter
Just giving a bump, still need some additional info on what points to check with the multimeter to see what's wrong.
