I would suggest you to send your email address to coleco_master via PM

I'm subscribed and I've received a preorder mail with link to the Pippols video, same posted by manoau2002.

A quick check on Collectorvision's 2014 lineup and yes, Pippols is on that list...

Wait a second... Does it mean that we can already preorder games that are listed in the 2014 lineup?? :?

Mr coleco_master, I'd be glad to be on your mailing list and receive that preorder mail, please ;)

ok thanks pm sent to coleco_master

Just curious, is it a "secret" list for the members of Collectorvision, so that they have prime access to your releases and so can preorder/order before "ordinary" people?

I'm asking as I found no post/mention of the release of pippols anywhere, in any thread on this site, even on your website :)

No, this's simply because we are still getting away from © stuff now

This's clearly one of the latest releases with ©

Unless we get liscence(s)

So, Yes, it's a secret to everybody ;)

Okay, you guys make an amazing job; for me, when it comes to the homebrew scene, there's the Colecovision scene... and the rest.

(Probably because the machine was "killed" very early and was not used to its full potential)

Problem: Between collectorvision and teampixel boy, there's not much advertising for your games and it's not always easy to "track" the releases -- not to mention that some carts are available only during a short period of time -- sometimes only a few weeks...!

Therefore it's very easy to miss a release, unless you're a member of this forum (there's a review on mo5 and gamopat, and a few others, that's all...)

Maybe this community needs a community manager? or something like that; In the meantime I started a quick page listing all current games available for order --

http://colecoforever.free.fr

Hope it helps at least for me it does!

I personally don't find the Colecovision homebrew scene that confusing. The majority of the games released at this time are by either collectorvision or teampixelboy. All you have to do is ask to be put on their mailing lists and they will send an email when they are ready to sell stuff. Other people that release there own games like newcoleco are good about posting in the forums here when they plan to release something. The other big homebrew developer is opcode but who knows whats going on there. You should see the vectrex scene where's theres no central meeting place (forum) Stuff gets released all the time and no one knows anything about it. Also Nanochess maintains a homebrew availability list for the Colecovision. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/206287-colecovision-homebrew-availability-list/

ok thanks for the link, it's great to have all releases in one page...

Problem is -- the list is not up to date -- lord of the dungeon side trak mario bros are not listed, nor moon patrol, nor pippols (to be frank pippols is not even listed in the official collectorvision website, for obscure shitty legal reasons)

So if you're a true coleco addict, you'll know about all those releases; but if it's just a secondary hobby, say you'll check this site once or twice a month, you'll potentially miss a game you really really wanted (gamester81 ghaaaa :skull: )

Thing is, a few years ago you could count the coleco homebrews on one hand -- road fighter sky jaguar magical garden and a few ones (I'm glad I got my copy of magical back then); oh yes, there was that crazy french guy who thought he could port ghost'n goblins

Next thing I know I find a thread about this guy who wants to build & deliver a super module, and I go -- Forget about it, making a cartridge it's one thing, making a module he'll never make it

Then last month I check this site and I realize that more than a dozen games have been made since then :-o

And just for this year Collectorvision plans to release a bunch of ten?? (would like to see that)

The Colecovision homebrew scene totally blew up, it's cool to have so many games

but I just hope that people are not gonna feel stuffed -- or worse frustrated, I feel for people who ordered a sgm and never got it...

The thing is if this is your primary hobby and you feel the need to buy everything you'll check the site on a frequent basis. (i have tapatalk on my phone so I can check several times a day and I choose to not buy some games-because of money and or lack of interest) Every hobby requires some sort of time commitment. I also collect vinyl which means I am out on a regular basis scouring thrift shops and online sites like discogs and ebay. The amount of work required to collect Colecovision homebrews is very minimal. All you have to do is check this forum and sign up for two mailing lists.

btw just to be clear I'm not blaming anyone, nor am I venting -- I understand this "soft" advertising is apparently deliberate

(This said I'm not the only one who almost missed the game --

((and I'm not a crazy collector -- just crazy that I missed gamester81 by a few weeks :( ))

But for GnZ v1.5 you'd better make sure that everyone gets his copy -- or else the forgotten ones are going to form a militia and send an army of Mr Spocks!!

Nothing is decided for GnZ 1.5 . Not sure it will be released one day. GnZ 2 should be released... just have to complete it...

Concerning GameSter81 , it is not a limited run i think. did you check on Atari2600.com ? or ask them , may be they still have some.

I contacted Sir John directly via pm -- gamester81 is sold out, however they may produce a second run... Don't know if he said that to cheer me up though...

About gnz 2 -- Is it a new game with different levels? ie different from gnz 1?

Or is it an enhanced version with some bugs fixed?

No I do honestly plan on releasing more, but will probably wait until later this year to do so. I'll let you know when that time comes.

GnZ 2 is a new game , the following of the first one. The first want conclude by a "To be continued..." . I had planed originally the game as a trilogy. Not sure it will be. Gnz2 could conclude the story. We will see.

GnZ 1.5 is a re-worked version of Gnz . I'm not sure yet what i'm going to do with that version and if i will release one day. I wait to complete Gnz 2 then i will see with existing GnZ owner if they agree with my plan for Gnz 1.5.

Side note, I plan to do something special and exclusive for current Ghost'n Zombie owner . :).... teasing... ;)

You know, it's your game and can do what you wish. Why would it be up the the owners of the game?

And do votes count for owners that have bought the game second or third-hand? Or more?

Why not release it for the people who don't have the original?
