Hi guys,

Anthony-

Here is the link to me playing a quick 1 Credit game of Street Hoop! I know it has been forever, I was not able to capture too good of gameplay for this one, sigh! I actually played better in the Live Steam on Twitch last night lol! Oh well I had a ton of fun with this one here is the link! I had forgotten how fun this title really is and I think it gets overshadowed by NBA Jam, but this may be the better game and of coarse it is for the Neo Geo so that tips its odds! Happy Gaming!

There comes a time in everybody's life when they have to decide what they're personally willing to do for Lando. What are they willing to give up? What would they sacrifice for Lando? Time? Total perfection?

The goal:

Malt Liquor Lando-style

kYvpktf.jpg

The problem:

They painted their stupid design on the plexiglass and you can't use harsh chemicals on plexi.

0nDVvW8.jpg

The Solution:

Use "mild" abrasives, and when I heard "don't use anything harsher than toothpaste" I took that to mean that you can use toothpaste. It's a lot of work, and it really makes me wonder what regular use of this stuff does to teeth.

pPVVpbS.jpg

The result:

The internet was wrong. Don't use toothpaste. It destroys the finish, and I probably could have used paint thinner and gotten the same result without the scrubbing.

5jxi7XG.jpg

But it's not all bad. On lighter backgrounds (as I intend to use) it actually still looks passible. Note the awful job they did lining up the 'A' and 'B' button holes in the plexiglass--they will need widened.

Well, thank's largely to the Project C.O.E. spin master review, I broke down and treated myself by ordering one. It's coming from portugal, though, so I'm not exactly holding my breath on fast shipping. It'll be my first neo platformer.

Naturally I've been treating myself to quite a few other things this weekend, but one other one that's slightly neo-related is Focus Attack's 20% off sale that's coming on monday. I'm holding off on my parts order until then. They've also got quite the no-purchase-necessary ps4 giveaway that they're keen on their customers advertising for them--so here it is. I'd imagine the 'arcade parts supplier' niche is pretty small, so it's probably a good contest to enter. It looks like about $1000 worth of gear, but it does require a facebook account, so I had to borrow one.

I've actually got a video I'm working on for that arcade stick. I use it all the time for my fighters, and it's excellent. I really like the Tournament 2 sticks Mad Catz has been putting out. I picked up the Killer Instinct stick way back when for the Xbox One, and that too is just fantastic.

I'm glad my video convinced you to pick up Spin Master. I had such a good time playing it again after so many years. I'm finishing off another five Neo Geo reviews, and will then have to go on the hunt for some more games for February. I can't tell you how much fun I've been having covering Neo Geo games again. I would love for it to continue, but I need to be able to buy some games ;)

For Aaron or Jarrod,

Do you guys have Stakes Winner 2 for the MVS? If so, that would be a nice game to do a video on. It's a game that I enjoying playing every now and then.

Nice Choice Neo.

Wouldn't mind Stake Winner 2 seeing I like betting on the ponies sometimes! :-D

NeoTurboManiac,

First of all I am flattered that you would request a video, and secondly sure I would love to play a 1 Credit game of this little known gem!!! I personally enjoy your videos and your video style with the excellent editing and gameplay-you are light-years ahead of me bro! It would give me a reason to dust that title off and give it a go!!!! Also, thank you Anthony for the heads up on my channel! You are the man!!!

Yeah, I picked up a fightstick pro from mad catz last year at this time (I liked how the art on that model wasn't game-specific). It works pretty well, and is easy to get into and customize. Mad catz has really been taking their product upmarket over the last decade or so. Good on them.

Generally I don't like japanese arcade controls quite as much as the american/european style, but the JLF is still upgradable to something I can really get into (octagonal gate, larger actuator, stiffer spring), and now I'm even seeing cherry mx-blue conversion kits for the buttons(I haven't tried them yet). It'd be hard for me not to acknowledge the sanwa JLF as superior to my beloved eurosticks, but my head is just wired up to enjoy handling them more.

That's awesome Reaper.

I use to be a huge fanboy for Mad Catz products back in the day. I have to get them out of the dusty ol' closet to see if they still work. Don't know why I put them away for so long, but they sure did excellent work for us gamers! :)

Hi guys,

Back with fellow Atariage member Aaron from Aaron Classic Gamer doing another single credit run video game title. This morning, the gentleman uploaded an amazing video of Football Frenzy for the MVS. I love NFL, College, CFL (Canadian Football League), Arena Football, you name it. If its football, sign me up and I'm in. :-D

Football Frenzy is a fun quirky title that's unique from the SNK Neo-Geo library . Fun with family and friends that will keep you busy for hours on end! :)

Hi guys.

Back again showing maintenance & repair videos. This morning, were with Arcadecomponents.com showing us how to troubleshoot the audio outlet concerns for an MVS board!.

From the description,

" There's an easy shortcut to use when troubleshooting audio output issues on a Neo Geo MVS board: Use a logic probe with audio beep functions.

In this video I demonstrate how to use the logic probe to determine if an audio problem is in the digital or analog section of the circuitry."
