mbd30
I played "Super Castlevania IV". The graphics and sound are good. The emulation seems fast and smooth. But touch screen controls are no substitute for a gamepad or even a keyboard. It's much tougher with the stupid touch screen. You'd have to use a bluetooth keyboard (or gamepad) to have playable videogame emulation on a tablet.
+LS650
I know that there are Android gaming tablets with integrated D-pad, buttons, etc. Does anyone out there run one of these that you can recommend?
Rex Dart
You'd have to use a bluetooth keyboard (or gamepad) to have playable videogame emulation on a tablet. Kindle Fire doesn't have bluetooth. You'd need a USB gamepad, an adapter to make it fit, a powered USB hub, and a version of Android with gamepad support installed. I think 4.0+ would work. I'm considering upgrading to an HDX or Nexus 7 anyway. I want something faster for web browsing, etc. The Kindle Fire slows down to a crawl all the time. Jess Ragan
An OTG adapter ($5 on eBay and Amazon) is good enough. That's what I use for my Nexus!
Rex Dart
An OTG adapter ($5 on eBay and Amazon) is good enough. That's what I use for my Nexus! It's not enough for a Kindle Fire. It doesn't put out enough power over the USB port, so you need a powered USB hub or other way to inject some power into there.
