accousticguitar
Anyone interested in an old computer for playing dos games? The c-mos battery is gone and the clip is broken so I don't think a new one can be installed. All you have to do is hit escape, f10, enter and it loads like normal. If you leave it plugged in you don't even have to do that. Also the floppy disc is a bit sticky when ejecting. You have to lift up on it a bit to get it to come out. It runs good with a fresh install of windows 98. It even has a usb port in the back. No keyboard, mouse, or monitor, just the computer $50 plus actual shipping charges. eightbit
I've repaired the cmos battery area on these quite easily. You just need to pick up a CR2032 battery holder at radio shack and replace it. Desolder the pos/neg pins and replace. The holder is a few bucks at best. The hardest part is removing the mainboard to get to the underside in order to desolder it. Overall it is a super easy fix. Good luck with the sale. I haven't worked on one of these since I was a technician for Computer City
Keatah
I get so many of these things we just throw them away. Easy fix though.
accousticguitar
Does anyone want this for the price of shipping? If so I'll plug it in and see if it still works. I hate to throw it away but it is taking up too much space and I have several other computers that I actually still use. It's heavy so shipping will likely be high.
