Oh, another impossible vote! I didn't get Body Slam! until more recent times, but it's been a lot of fun the times I've played it. Bowling was another great sports simulation. World Championship Baseball vs. The Original. Dang! Don't know if I can vote in this one - another really tough bracket.

Major League Baseball for me but ALL 4 games are good. I only lost 1 game of this 1-0 BITD and while I liked WC Baseball, the fact that sliding was to easy was a big flaw in game although I got when it 1st came out and enjoyed as well. Had lots of fun with Bowling, and Body Slam gets my 2nd place simply for graphics/features/game play etc. - was very happy with when came out but baseball was my game and I simply couldn't find many worthy opponents. Funny story about my Baseball buying expedition - My parents take me out to Toys R Us to buy an intellivision game and the game I picked (don't even remember- could've been Shark Shark or something different) was out of stock so after what seemed like forever, I finally decide to get Major League Baseball. Then as we are in parking lot and about to get in car I mouth something like maybe I should have picked a different game. My dad got so pissed he tried to back hand me one, hits the carriage, and loses hos gold ring. So now we spend the next several minutes looking for his ring which thank goodness for me we found:-) Ahh yes, one of my favorite games and definitely my funniest intellivision game buying experience:-)

I ended up going w/ The Original. One could argue that it's the single most important game, as it was the first written, and it absolutely HAD TO be great for the platform to succeed. I've said it before - the Intellivision baseball library by itself put a stake in the ground more than once so far out ahead of what had been done before with computer-based baseball that for quite a long time, all others could do is imitate. Sure, the graphics got prettier, and the sound got better but at its heart, good computer baseball games still owe a nod to the Intellivision. :D (Not overstating anything there at all, am I?)

ML Baseball is great and I played the hell out of this game when I was young. Definitely one of the defining games of the Intellivision that made it successful.

However, I don't have anyone to play ML Baseball with these days so WC Baseball got my vote.

I am in the same mind as Lathe. MLB may be one of the greatest and most influential baseball games on the Intellivision in its time. However it still is a two player game.

Unless there is some kind of on-line functionality enabled (dreaming) I had to go with the one that offers the chance to play it today.

I guess that that is going to be the case with the SuperPro upgrades (Basketball, Hockey, Football) if faced against the early classics the SuperPro will have an upper hand due to their 1 player option.

MLB doesn't allow you to steal bases at will like WC Baseball does because of the slide feature. With the slide you are guaranteed to steal 2nd and 3rd every time even without the greatest jump. Heck, stealing home is also a possibility. Other than this one flaw, which is a critical one, then I guess no. WC Baseball added some nice feature like A1, moving position of fielders, fly ball, slightly expanded field of play, sliding, etc..
