+MrFish
Have you ever dumped a cart with it? I have some carts I'd like to dump. Allan Yeah, that's what I was talking about. I've dumped many carts with it.

+MrFish
If you look in MaxFlash Studio you can see all the cart types that can be dumped. Apparently it will even dump 5200, ColecoVision, and Intellivision cartridges with the appropriate adapter. Make sure you get the latest version of MaxFlash Studio, as it's been updated several times. I'm running version 2.3, but there may even be a newer version than that by now. The nice thing about the MaxFlash programmer is that it's fast, for dumping or programming. I guess the only caveat I'd give you is that you are responsible for inserting the cart with the proper side facing up or down. Some carts are inserted label side down. It's not a problem if you think while you're using it, but I've taken a cartridge plastic connector cover from an 800XL to make it fool-proof. Also, the connector cover has the proper parts to make inserting a brown cart, which has the tricky little door, easier to use. Otherwise you have to open the door on a brown cart manually before inserting, which I found to be a hassle. +MrFish
Another reference for it is that, I'm pretty sure, AA user FULS used it to dump his whole 275+ carts collection, which he posted in the "Hooked on 8-bit carts" thread.
Marius
I have this USB programmer too. It's extremely handy indeed. I use it most of the time to program my MyIDE or AtariMax carts. It's so much faster than ATR programming; very handy. AtariMax products are very good quality, and worth the money

It's a handy little fixture for connecting carts to devices that just have a bare connector.
+Stephen
I also have one of the USB programmers. It's great for ripping carts as well as hi-speed programming of the AtariMax carts.

+remowilliams
Same here. Very handy device for programming and dumping
Nebulon
I also endorse this product. Both the software and hardware are great. I can tell that a lot of time was spent refining the software interface.
Marius
Ever noticed btw. that the USB programmer is in fact an Atari USB cartridge (also sold by AtariMax) with a female cart connector soldered on it. That explains also the somewhat strange USB connector to connect the device to a PC.
Centurion
I am planning on purchasing a Maxflash programmer as well. Looking forward to making some multicarts for myself. Looks like a neat device. I love MyIDE-II cart. Comes in handy.
