Tough call for me between Diner and Stadium Mud Buggies, but Diner takes it. I played it more than Mud Buggies, and Mud Buggies (in my small amount of play) has similarities to Motocross. I really do like both quite a bit, but the nod still goes to Diner.

I knew Diner would win (my true 1st place) so I went with a very sentimental vote for WC Soccer which is one of 3 or 4 games I played with my dad - The penalty kick portion of the game at least. My 3rd would have went to WC Tennis which is hard, but I enjoyed it. I had all 3 of these when they were 1st released & want to revisit all 3. Never played other 2 much.

I'm the lone vote for Championship Tennis, I guess! Gradually figuring that game out, and eventually beating it, was one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've had in the last 5 years or so. It's buggy as hell and has a nasty learning curve, but it's the earliest tennis game I've played that actually feels like the real game (not counting the original Tennis and its lack of a CPU adversary). Way ahead of its time.

My #2 vote would be for Sewer Sam. It's a shame that one gets so little love -- it's actually rather clever once you figure out how it works. Obviously it needed more polish, but it's a much better game than it seems on first impression. It's got fewer bells and whistles than the CV version, but I think the Inty version actually plays better.

After re-playing all the games in the group, I chose Champ Tennis as well. The game works and doesn't require a lot of imagination to figure out you are actually playing tennis. I just got going, so I haven't defeated the computer yet, but I'm looking forward to that as a target in the months to come.
