BydoEmpire
Neat bit of art history. http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2014/04/lost-warhol-works-uncovered-from-old-amiga-floppy-disks/
jhd
Very cool! From what I understand, Warhol left masses of unpublished/incomplete material in a very disorganized state. It will be many years before everything is properly sorted and catalogued, so there may be yet more discoveries of this nature.
+Gemintronic
This is nothing. They found drawings made by Peter Max on a Timex Sinclair in 1990. They're still waiting for the SuperPaint cassette data to load
TwiliteZoner
I think the amazing thing is that the disks actually worked.
desiv
Most of my original Amiga disks still work. In fact, most of my Apple II disks still work.. Floppy disks are much more resilient than people give them credit for.. And the lower density, the longer they seem to last.. It is pretty neat that they found them. Not necessarily for the quality of the art, but the history of it.. :-) desiv
privateers69
From what I understood in the local paper (Pittsburgh Post Gazette). The Amiga and disks were Beta equipment.
