Round 2 of 2014 Harmony Games: Go Fish!

Time to announce the second round of the 2014 Harmony Games :Go Fish! as suggested by roadrunner

Description:
Go Fish! is an original game loosely based on the Intellivision game Shark! Shark! - you are a wee fish and, to survive, you must eat other, smaller fish to grow. But watch out for the shark, as he's also on the hunt for food and you could be his next meal! Go Fish! features extensive, continuously-playing music (with an option to turn it off for those who'd rather do their fishing in quiet), as well as a two-player battle mode.
Go Fish! is one of the first homebrew games to support Richard Hutchinson's AtariVox. Go Fish! takes advantage of the AtariVox to save your high score, which is retained when you turn your Atari 2600 off. When you come back later to play Go Fish! and power on your 2600, your previous high score will be restored!
*since this game was previously used in one of Zero's HSC we'll use the same settings.*

Point scoring: top 10: 10 (for first) to 2(for tenth) 1 for everybody after 10
any scores submitted after the round ends will get 1point
**Bonus Points: since the score caps off at 9,999, if you reach that I'll give 5 bonus points.
this round starts April 28th,2014 at 3pm CDT and ends May 12th 2pm CDT

post your scrores here (ranks will posted at the AVC Online forum and on the harmony games web page (see signature))

2,986

To get this score I kept in the bottom when I got bigger and waiting for right fishes to go and catch them. (eventually I died beeing greedy...)

I'm not sure yet if this is really fair. I must play more and see if this will make easy to get the 9,999 and if there won't be any enemy in the bottom in higher scores.

I think somebody posted about that on zeros hsc of this game

Oh, thank you.

Well, then there's no enemy in the seaweed at the bottom of the sea. But Zero accepted the hidding strategy and only two players (strong players by the way) got the max score.

So, imo, we could accept this strategy. And I'm with toymailman, the game is very fun but an enemy roaming the bottom would be great. As the crabs in the Intellivision shark! shark!

keep up the scores will update later today.

OT a bit: it seems that galloping ghost scheduled a n64 tournament the same day as Atarimania II.

so this years Atarimania might get cancled or reschuled. this will change the special challenge if it happens

if cancled then the challnge will be online only and for US players prize will be players choice: Admission to VGS, 25.00 e-cert to our cafepress shop, or full color program(didgital or print)

(Overseas winners only get free digital program)

Ithink thats only fair incase its cancled

if rescheduled then no changes expect for the game.

hoping to hear back from the aracde soon

(thier tournament starts around 3pm and AM starts before that)
