Correct Sentinel ROM Header

Thanks once again to RevEng, we finally have the Sentinel ROMs for the NTSC and PAL regions with a correct header.

To quote RevEng directly:

"It appears that the a78 header uses a "3" in the second cart-type byte, which translates to pokey+supergame.

But the game appears to want ROM in the area that pokey is usually mapped in...change the "3" to a "2" (supergame only)"

Here are the correct set header (*.a78) ROM files: Sentinel NTSC & PAL Correct Header.zip

Keep in mind for Sentinel, the difficulty switch setting affects whether sound is off or on*.

B - Left Position - Sound On

A - Right Position - Sound Off

Note too though, as far as I am aware of, there is no Atari 7800 emulator that simulates a light gun yet.

*Thanks again to RevEng for reminding me of that..lol. :dunce:

Wii7800 will do it.

Thanks for the clarification...There is no Windows/MacOS/Linux publicly released emulator that supports the Light Gun...yet. ;)

Somewhat funny how the 'Wii platform' has a more up to date publicly released version of the ProSystem emulator than the aforementioned platforms.

Yeah I grabbed the ROM from mitch's site way back when I was working on and test A7800x. I also updated the prosystem.dat file to reflect the proper info if I remember correctly.

I had forgotten about the emu7800 light gun support code. I remember looking at it. Not possible (I think) with the mess 1.07 code. However what they did should work with the latest MESS framework (1.53?).
