Rockin' Kat
Picked this up free and was wondering what it was for. Clearly it's been scavenged for parts but I thought I'd see if it was something I oughta try fixing or maybe someone else would want it if it wasn't something I could use.Atari controllers probably connect to one end.All I know is it certainly isn't a ti 99/4a adapter. Maybe trs 80?Some pictures inside and outside. Edited June 20, 2014 by Rockin' Kat
Rockin' Kat
Well after looking up online and just finding pictures of the boxes of the wico command control adapters, I saw ones for TRS-80, TI 99/4a, and Odyssey^2, and Apple II. Not exactly the best pictures but it looked like the one for TRS 80 was the only one which had two leads coming out the back. There's not really a lot of easily searched info... mostly just bring up broken auction links and old unanswered Usenet questions. If it is the one for TRS-80, I think this Digi-Key Shopping list covers all the parts needed to get it put back together. http://www.digikey.com/short/nc0zt Anything else that might be wrong with it would probably not cost near as much to replace. That said, I don't have a TRS-80 to test it on to make sure it works, and that's a bit of money to put down to hassle with something I'd only want to sell but couldn't test before selling it. :-/ I think I'm probably just going to see if anyone wants to send $10 to have it mailed to them. Supergun
I agree that ordering all the parts plus shipping and labor would make it almost not really worth the trouble. Probably faster & easier & cheaper to just buy one on eBay, when one turns up, but who knows really. It looks like it was harvested by someone for a joystick port & the cables. Perhaps to repair something else or a project maybe. Other then that, and a slightly damaged/repaired trace it looks to be alright so it may work once the parts are replaced. I have what would be needed to do so, just not sure if it's worth the trouble. My interest has always been simply that better play control might make coco games more fun for me. But will it? I'm not sure about that yet. Need to think this over...
+save2600
Was that a Masterplay type interface for the Atari 5200 maybe? Allows you to use 2600 joysticks on the 5200.
Charlie_
That is for the Tandy Color Computer / Tandy 1000. I have two of them. The coco uses analog controllers, and that allows you to use Atari controllers on the coco. Edited June 21, 2014 by Official Ninja

Currently there is a new-in-box one up for about $65 BIN. The last one to actually sell on eBay went for ~$44 on BIN. I guess without the box they might someone might try listing at $35. Anyway I'm going to just shelf it for now unless someone wants it.
