The only other thing I need to add is that Star Gate is actually Stargate, the same with Star Quake, its Starquake.. Other than that all other games in the list should work 100% fine on XL 64K or above settings, all hand checked by me, I also found that some of the settings in Marks gamebase were wrong, he had many with BASIC enabled when they didn't need it, if you use Marks Gamebase you might find those games crash (or not). Mclaneinc Posted August 17, 2014 Share Posted August 17, 2014 (edited) Looking good, hope the list of special needs helps a little, my next task is to do the PAL / NTSC tests. I think its a really nice set of games now but I need help with quality sports, puzzle, adventure and simulation games as I'm no expert in them.. Try and make them the cream of the crop if possible but games that you really enjoyed still count. All the SAPS provided are right versions from the actual games, all are from the ASMA collection so will be good rips and properly checked, basically they just need adding rather than checking. I'd offer to help physically add the saps etc but it would mean 2 different databases being worked on so we could end up at cross purposes and start duplicating each others work. This is a feature some MAME front ends have and it's very convenient. To other A8 afficianados, we need more text adventures in the A8 Best Gamepack library. Mclaneinc Posted August 18, 2014 Share Posted August 18, 2014 (edited) You can already make a set of personal favourites, there's a little button above the games list called favourite, ticking this shows you all the favourites, it seems to come with some preset favourites but you can see a button underneath the list to remove from favourites, clear the list and then untick the favourite button, select a game you like and in the same place remove from favourites will now be an add to favourite. Once you add them and you just want to see that favourite list then tick the box again above the list. As for text only adventures then pretty much anything from Infocom will do, I'm not a big text adv person but as an Atari salesman from the time we sold infocom adventures by the box load when they came out, very detailed and a thing of beauty to own as they came with maps and all sorts of little bits that made them special. I only played one a little bit but the writing was superb, no need for pictures as the wording was beautiful. Shannon Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 - Captain Stickys Gold (Apostrophe issue) - DaFuzz (OS-B) (Apostrophe issue) If you are having problems with the command line on games with an apostrophe put the filename in quotes "" and it should work fine.
