The 7800XM

Hi everyone,

I saw some of the posts in the thread about 3.5 years...

I am not going to get into anything with anyone. The timing of this unfortunately is not great. I am supposed to be sitting home today resting, relaxing and destressing before my 6th heart surgery tomorrow morning. So needless to say, reading many of the posts, well it hasn't helped so I stopped looking after a few very hurtful and, some, quite vicious and spiteful.

I will post an update later next week once I've had a chance to recover a bit and can sit down and work on my laptop for a bit. I will post up some info, and some photo's I know a few have wanted to see, then we'll take things from there. Yes, I am to fault, I will be the first to admit it and accept it, but the viciousness, and the outirght spiteful, hateful and in some cases, out of line things said about me... they neither help nor are appropriate or right to have said.

Curt, glad you came by despite the inappropriate negativity. Your health is, and right ought to be, your first concern, not some video game device. Do know that most of us are intently looking forward to a smooth, problem-free surgery for you tomorrow.

Cheers.

Nothing good will come from reading that thread so your better off to just ignore it.

Thanks for the update and best wishes for a successful recovery.

Rest well and make sure you fully recover. :)

And see, just stopping by to write a few words goes a long way to calm people down. I suggest you take theloon's advice and get a volunteer to post regular updates to keep the frustration from boiling again. ;)

Remember Curt, we're counting on you for a speedy recovery not only so you can finish the 7800XM but also so you can begin work on the 5200XM and also release the Atari Inc corrected 5200 controllers via Syzygy... No pressure though! :)

Curt,

I'm sorry you had to take time today to visit AtariAge and post a message. Just wanted you to know that the start of this latest vitriol was from a user who was previously banned for the same type of behavior, and until today I was unaware that he had yet another troll account to continue parading his vile. I have banned that account, along with another that I found.

There will always be people who complain, and they tend to do so loudly. These people are in the minority, and the rest of us understand that you want to get the XM done but sometimes Real Life is a real bitch. I look forward to getting my XM once it's complete, and I know many others do as well. But your health and family must come first, and you surely don't need additional stress from issues such as this. If there's anything I can do to help at all, please don't hesitate to ask.

I wish you a swift recovery from your surgery!

Well said, Al, and I couldn't agree more. While I haven't been involved with this thread, I do want to wish a quick and speedy recovery to you, Curt. You've been a positive influence on me over the years with your help and encouragement on my various projects on AA and I wish you the best.
