atari8warez
That's what I thought too, but the seller says: "Hello, The casing was added to a board only prototype for protection. Thanks" Edited July 6, 2014 by atari8warez
CPUWIZ
Well, then get a picture of the board.
+Allan
The board is a prototype board. The regular released games and the modern homebrew boards are narrower. Allan
Wickeycolumbus
Real prototype PCB, may have come from best electronics or something. The poor solder job on the back could be a clue that it was assembled by someone else who didn't know what they were doing.
tep392
Is it unusual for the EPROM's to have nothing written on them? I would think that Atari would want to write something on the sticker for identification purposes.

I have never seen a hand soldered 5200 proto, to be honest. All the ones I ever had, were wave soldered, which would seal the open pin holes. I just looked at the last one I have left, which is a loose Pengo proto, uniform wave soldered. Tempest needs to chime in on this, I have not seen as many of them as he has. roadrunner
Was this game real? It looks like a paper towel for a label.http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATARI-5200-DIAGNOSTIC-CARTRIDGE-GUARANTEED-TO-WORK-/251048905090?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item3a73ae4982
atari181
Could be, bit with an auction that states "could be a reproduction" I highly doubt it is. That is generally the way a shady seller who knows its a repro lists it. It's the "I told you I didn't know" excuse

Looks like it's already been pulled.
