What TV do you use with your ColecoVision?

After I got my Colecovision last year, I used my Sony High Definition CRT TV. I then purchased and installed an AV mod kit from ebay (the guy selling them from Turkey) and used that on my Sony TV. Recently, I acquired a 1985 19" Hitachi Solid State CRT (I got free from Craigslist) and I won't use any other TV now. After trying all the options, I think only a vintage 1980's TV is the way to use a Colecovision. I don't understand why anyone would do the half measure of using a vintage video game system, but do it with a modern TV? I appreciate the classic vintage 1980's Colecovision, and think that it is best used with an accurate 1980's TV, to get the full experience. If you just wanted to play the games, you could use an emulator, or play the original arcade games, because most of the games are arcade ports. I think the only reason to play an original Colecovision is to experience the original 1980's experience, which is ruined with a modern TV.

Some of my other thoughts, are that the AV mod I installed on my Colecovision improved the non-modifyed RF signal. I don't know why, but I think the AV mod better grounds the RF signal of the Colecovision. It's good to have an AV mod that does not effect the RF output should I want to use the Colecovision on a modern TV from time to time, but I don't understand why anyone would do the half measure of using a 1982 Colecvision with a modern TV, rather then the full measure of an 82' Colecovision with an 80's TV? You can get Old CRTs (with wood grain finish MDF) for free or almost free on Craigslist and at Thrift Stores.

Wow, who ever made DKC2 for the Colecovision did a highly fantastic job!!!

I have mine hooked up to a Westinghouse LCD TV.

My son just discovered the whole Donkey Kong Country serie :D

He is not even 4 years old (almost) and he is already setting up his Wii and Snes as soon as he awake from bed

He is very funny
