I really dig Stratogems! I played a lot of Columns & my only complaint about it was that it was too easy because you could still move the peices around after they landed. The makers of this game thankfully did away with that! they also added some difficulty by changing the look of the gems every level... kind of a strange idea but they look really nice anyway. my only complaint about this one is no music. not really a complaint, i understand there are limitations, but I miss the music. anyone here who has played the homebrew "Go Fish" for 2600 will remember that has excellent meditative music like Columns does if I had been programming for the 26' this is a game I might have wanted to try making Edited July 20, 2014 by S.BAZ 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

S.BAZ Posted July 22, 2014 Share Posted July 22, 2014 thanks karo, it's just from playing the original a lot & Tetris a lot Vocelli's tip might be about as good as it gets for tips --improves chances of chain reactions a couple more (probably obvious though, sorry): *very important* to watch the top where it tells you what's coming next, so you can decide where to put it while dropping the current one keep in mind where any 2-in-a-row are at & look for those colors coming while making available 2's as much as possible soundtrack suggestion: Bach's French Suites, or strategy game music like Master of Monsters or Final Fantasy Tactics, maybe some philip glass if you can dig it ...oh & don't forget to get a time machine & go play a crapload of Tetris & Columns in like '88 to '92 bring your game boy to school & focus on tetris instead of "health" & social studies lol 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Never really played Tetris. Anyhow, I'm gonna focus on Moon Cresta on the 7800 HSC, but here's my lame attempt for participation points....... @the BAZ -- yeah, I think Philip Glass would be perfect for this game!
