Well I think you have a new job to go to? As a retiree of two weeks I have never worked so hard!

The list of things to do at home is endless, just as well we travel a lot.

Enjoy the new job and finishing LTO flash.

I do have a new job lined up, starting Nov 23rd. I'll have two weeks of reprieve, theoretically, but part of it will be house hunting two time zones west with the family.

Otherwise, my goal is to get all the remaining bits of LTO Flash! buttoned up. My wife has agreed to help with taking orders and fulfilling shipping, etc. once we're ready to rock. I've been notching microUSB sized notches out of cartridge shells... I have just over a third of them notched. Need to start gluing together boxes....

I have some other odds and ends to finish up, and a final firmware to button up. Shouldn't take too long. However, my social calendar has exploded as coworkers from all corners want to meet up for lunch, drinks, etc.... Spend almost 20 years in a place, and for some reason there's a bunch of folks that know ya and wanna say goodbye. :)

Congrats again on your new job. I know what it's like in a past job to be overworked, underpaid & under appreciated - the holy trinity of hell. Hope your new job is 10x better!

Thanks! I hope so too. The dynamics of the company I'm going to are quite different from the dynamics of the company I'm leaving. And everything suggests it's a wholesale change for the better. :)

... I have just over a third of them notched...

Does that mean you have a fixed number of carts to be sold? Or just a fixed number for this particular batch/run?

sounds like there will be a mad dash to get one if the production run will be of limited qty.

is there a list already that's been missed out on?

BTW: I've got 4 kids that I can recruit to help punch holes, if that'll help.

I have made the first production batch. If it sells out and there's sufficient demand, I'll consider additional batches.

These boards are quite a bit more expensive to produce than the JLP boards, so the threshold for a second batch is pretty high. These would need to sell out fairly quick and go into backorder. On the plus side: Building more boards doesn't require any further firmware development or other development. :)

There isn't a reserve list yet. I have been building up a contact list, though, for when it does become available (soon!). Everyone who has expressed interest on the LTO Flash threads, for example, will get notified. I also have a tag for it in my email inbox.

As for notching.... I appreciate the offer. I think I have it under control. :)

Well, then, since I've been quietly watching, waiting, and salivating over this delightful device since last summer, I guess it's finally time for me to speak up.

One for me, please! :)
