I've got mixed feelings about this. People used to make coffee tables out of Mario/Duck Hunt carts. They used to be so common people would throw them away or make art out of them. One guy at nintendoage once confessed to using them for real life skeet shoot practice. They're still very common but now they typically show up at $5 a pop instead of 10c at Funco back in the day. Someone in Japan also once made a throne out of Famicom carts.

I mean, it's cool that people make art out of this stuff, but the supplies are limited.

All creation is destruction. Everything is limited.

That's kind of like saying "Everyone eventually dies, so we might as well kill them now and mount their heads on our walls."

Creating art out of dead carts would be fine, but creating art out of carts that still work is 'murder.'

Unless of course the game will be resurrected and given new life as a homebrew...

Still, I am glad to see Albert finally will soon be making new cart shells a reality so that no game has to "die" anymore... |:)
