Mister-VCS Posted August 9, 2014 Share Posted August 9, 2014 No offense agianst Vocelli (as always... ) - he does a great job as our mod - but i miss the right balance between common, rare and super-rare games. Most time of the season we play the super-rare ones... there a some great "different" games like Trick Shot, Obelix, Road Runner, Mangia, Klax, Desert Falcon, Off the Wall, Ikari Warriors, Fatal Run, RS: Basket-/Volleyball which are "overlooked" by our mod in comparison to some (awful) Apollo, Century Fox or M-Network-games... I think my top in the past was about 150k cool game, glad to see it selected, thanx Vocelli! along with Yars' Revenge it seems like this game was also inspired by Star Castle. maybe even resulted from an attempt to make Star Castle? Like maybe after the extra shields are reclaimed for energy? Maybe it's just an illusion created by the pulsating effect of the shield. Maybe I'm playing too much Spacemaster X-7... S.BAZ Posted August 12, 2014 Share Posted August 12, 2014 ROLLAGE 991,750 - 1,015,325 @StanJr -- yeah it seems like the shield slows down a bit after it starts out, but it's hard to say, it seems like an illusion too. I found SpiceWare's tips from Season 3 very helpful, especially letting the Spirals & Snakes run around since they're mostly harmless. (forgot the proper terms for them) I also found once the shield gets up to the fastest speed (c.160k) you can get inside it again! once the auxiliary shields disappear then attack from the diagonal direction & when the gap comes down from the top just rush in from the bottom left or right & rapid fire it, the shield will miss you when it contracts the first time which gives you enough time to finish off the reactor! it works from the top too, just wait til the gap comes up from the bottom, same thing. so between 100k-160k it's pretty slow going building your score, but you can start scoring much faster once you hit 160k. 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
