DaytonaUSA
I'm thinking of getting it. I began getting interested when I saw a Neo Geo Pocket Color emulator on Android. That would be the cherry ontop of a great sundae that is all the systems it offers to emulate. I'm not normally a portable fan, but I genuinely enjoy all in one devices IN ADDITION to my real hardware. Simply put, it's the reason why I like the Wii U. When my wife is watching TV, I cant play games. So this would fix that issue. Do you recommend it? How is the build quality? Have you tested the NGPC emulator? How does the DC run? I've seen a few games work well. Also, how are the triggers? I see there are 4, but they look like they might be uncomfortable. Oh, and are the joysticks like the Vita's? Good sensitivity? Thanks! DaytonaUSA
I've seen enough reviews to see this is a great system. Got one with a coupon code for 119 shipped. That's impulse-buy price territory.

DaytonaUSA
I have the JXD 7300b / 7300b / s5110 / s601. - I am a sucker for these and I like testing custom ROM / Firmwares on them. I get too nervous doing roots. I did it once on a Nook. I got through it, but I had nothing but problems with drivers and such, and it nearly gave me a heart attack each time I tried to re-hack it and fix it. I think this system will be ok stock. I might be able to figure out the supercharge update. That seems kinda easy. But that's all I'd do.

I might be able to figure out the supercharge update. That seems kinda easy. But that's all I'd do. I would not recommend or suggest for legit and high end companies that make devices like the Nook or even Google Nexus 7 etc BUT in the case of these cheap / Chinese low end devices, well JXD does not have exactly the best stock firmware and guys like Skelton over @ Dingoonity make excellent alternative and custom ROMS that practically transform these devices truly getting the most out of them and they base it on latest official releases anyways. Honestly, no driver issues or functionality lost in these cases, if anything features added as well as performance boosted. I have already run 3 different custom firmwares/ roms all superior then JXD's stock. But I hear you, it is NOT for everyone, it is NOT without risk and not exactly the simplest think to do BUT that said in my opinion 100% worth it. If you ever change your mind or want to consider just do reading and research over at the Dingoonity forums in the JXD section checking out offerings from Skelton / Webclaw / Tanworks / Maetel. http://boards.dingoonity.org/jxd-devices/ Those guys as well as other members are very helpful but if you happy with the device running stock / default there is nothing wrong with being safe, it is just in my blood to tinker with any device to get the most features and performance out of it. To each his own but I am thankful for options. Edited September 1, 2014 by OldSchoolRetroGamer

israelg
Another nice option for people with tablets/phones I think this device is better when putting the screen in the middle, instead of putting the phone on the top like the moga gamepads... Thanks for that info! I didn't know such a thing existed. I've ordered one so now I'm anxious to see how well it does in iCade mode.
