rslocked
I recently bought an Atari 2600jr and I didn't notice that there weren't pins in the device to hold the cartridge in and I can't play games because they would open and stay in the atari. Is there a way i can find replacement parts or is it possible to makeshift a set of new ones?
RickR
Oooh, that's a tough problem. I would guess a makeshift fix (such as gluing on new pins) wouldn't last very long. You might search e-bay for a broken jr to borrow this part. Or buy yourself a harmony cart, jimmy it's cart slot open, put it in, and never take it out. zylon
I once "fixed" one of those by putting 2 very skinny screws through the slot from inside in the right positions. As long as you rolled the cart in from the front, it worked alright.
+SabertoothRetro
I would order a new replacement 24-pin female cartridge connector from Best Electronics. It looks like they have a few to choose from so write Brad an email and tell him that you need one for a Jr. He'll make sure you get the right part. http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/2600_Tech_Tips.htm#based
