One of the first things she did was to look at my TI-99/4 (not my /4A) and she said: "That thing is old--it's junk, get rid of it." My response was simple: I turned the console over so I could see the data plate. I then read out the manufacture date: 09/80. I looked at her and said: That number means that this computer was built in the 9th week of 1980, right about the beginning of March. That makes it six months older than you are--and I bought it when it was new. If it comes to you or it leaving--you'll go first."
