Space Invaders and Pac-Man re-releases

Recommended Posts

I am considering re-releasing Space Invaders Collection and Pac-Man Collection as part of the Super Game Module Arcade series. Games would be receiving the following enhancements:

Space Invaders Arcade====================
- Fixed bugs
- Improved performance
- Improved sound, pitches are closer to arcade (like the very bassy invaders march) *
- Added title scree music *
- Improved title screen
- Saves hi-score and score table *
- Added sound test
- New packaging
Pac-Man Arcade========================
- Added new sprite mode, less color less flicker
- Improved sound, pitches are now arcade perfect *
- Improved title screen music *
- Slightly improved/altered Ms Pac-Man graphics
- Saves hi-score *
- Added sound test
- New packaging
* Requires Super Game Module
However, in order to cover my costs, I need at least 100 orders for each game. So I am starting a new list to see if I can get that many pre-orders. In case you might be interested, please subscribe to the following list: http://eepurl.com/1E7nf
Thanks guys!

Question: Is the mailing list for Penguin Adventure distinct from this mailing list? In other words, if I've already registered myself for Penguin Adventure, do I still need to register again using the link provided above?

I figure lots of people will be asking the same question... :)

Yes, different lists. Otherwise there is no way for me to know how many people are interested on which games..

Well I'm in - but my bank balance is currently in freefall with all of these new releases :(

Well, these are something for early next year. The end of year is already too crowded...

Do you will take ''Play like the real Arcade game'' as package design?

No. It is gonna be our new SGM package design, a cool gatefold style silver box. I mean, real silver, like the SGM box.

I have discussed it here before. I like nostalgia and such, but the original Coleco game boxes were just fugly, not to mention cheap looking.

Not sure if possible, but it would great if:

Space Invaders Arcade had simultaneous two player support, faster tank speed and more than 1 shot on screen at same time.

Pac Man Arcade supported simultaneous two player support, 2nd player would control a ghost.

I signed up for one of each

I don't think there is anything relevant to add to SI. SI II (the Midway game, not to be confused with SI Part II) was a simultaneous two players game, but it sucked.

Pac-Man on the other hand, I would like to add Crazy Otto, as it is now far better documented than when I released PMC in 2007... I just couldn't find reliable sources back then...

Hi Eduardo.

1. So Crazy Otto (Ms. Pac-Man) will be a 5th game in 1. ?

2 Will you add a new title screen that show Pac-Man Plus instead of now where it's hidden. ?

:)

Hi Ole,

1. Well, I wouldn't say 5 games, more like 3 games and a bunch of variations.

2. I guess I should, since most people already knows about PM Plus now (and some aren't playing it because they don't know about the game)

I never keep notes to remember what the code is so that means I have to go look it up if I want to play it, which means I never play it.
