SuperMuppet
So I just downloaded the Atari 800 emulator Rainbow 2.2 and I need some help. I downloaded a Donkey Kong rom to play on the emulator, but I can only use the ctrl button to make Mario jump. What keys do I use for walking? And are keys customizable? bfollett
I don't use the Rainbow emulator, but I pulled this info from the zip file under Docs: "Joystick emulation using keyboard If you don’t have joysticks Rainbow emulates a joystick using the cursor keys, numeric keypad or L<>? combination, with Ctrl or zero (numeric keyboard) keys for fire. Only joystick 0 is emulated using the keyboard. If you select joystick emulation with cursor keys or L<>? then these keys will not function properly when typing. Select joystick emulation with keypad to resolve this. You can change the default keys in the Rainbow config file." Most people on this forum are probably using Altirra or perhaps Atari800/win emulators. I don't think your going to get a lot of people who are fluent with the Rainbow emulator. Mclaneinc
Be sure to get the system roms and under system / firmware / firmware images and point to where they are so Altirra knows you have them, it will help with some rare compatibility issues. Due to copyright they do not come with the emulator but if you search for Xfromer (another PC atari emulator) you will find them with it as they are licensed..
