Removing 4-port RF cable

Is there any sort of trick to getting the RF cable on the 4-port 5200 off? I'm trying to move it to a fresh motherboard since this one has some sort of issue I can't pin down with the controllers, but man, my friend and I tried for an hour to pull off the RF cord and it would not budge. As heated up as we got the solder, that thing is just in there. Anyone removed theirs for whatever purpose and can give pointers, I'd appreciate it!

I would cut it and then splice the wire. Solder it to the new board.

As it turns out we didn't need to cut it at all - we didn't realize that the two additional solder points for the wire were connected pieces to the clamp holding it in place. Once we were able to get those loose, it went pretty well.

That and realizing the wire piece soldered to the board was braided, heh.
