sprintcarfan
Greetings all... had a TI (bare console, cassette, TI Invaders, and that's it) when I was 10 or 11 in the early 80's. Been playing around with one again lately. I have a V1 Nanopeb and I've managed to get Ti99Hdx working fine so I can transfer files from a PC to the CF card. What's not clear from the documenation is whether or not I should be able to use "SAVE HDX1.PROGRAM" or "OLD HDX1.PROGRAM" from a Basic or XB prompt. Is that only possible with a proper TI RS232 card with the add-on HDX board? Seems like the Nanopeb would need to somehow tell the console that there is a hard drive connected (via DSR?) and just opening Ti99Hdx on the PC wouldn't be enough to just allow the console to know about a hard drive. John You're right, you need an RS232 card with the add-on HDX board to use HDX1 as a real device.
+arcadeshopper
Nano only works in the cfs program. You would need a ti rs232 card and pbox to use HDX1 as a device.. There are some pbox for sale recently announced. And I sell the mod daughter boards on my site or premodded rs232 cards

If I ever find a P-box that's reasonable, I would buy one... for now I'll make do with the Nanopeb.

sprintcarfan
That's just down the road, but it's needs another $130 in expansion cards to make it useful.

+OLD CS1
Come to the Faire Nov. 1. There is often free stuff! ...lee This is true, and I have also tried to convince Zach to bring some stuff (I am not certain if he feels a couple dozen people or so is enough to make the trip worth-while, but I have thrown it at him a few times.) Speaking of, any chance there will be some HDX kits or HDX-modified RS232 cards at the Faire? I have been convinced to go that route, and I have even promised myself to not spend any more money on TI stuff to save up a cash-stash to bring with me.
