Also got a review up for the 2600 version of Asteroids:
2600 Asteroids is a game I like WAY better now than I did as a kid. Though honestly I am most likely to reach for the 7800 version when I get the urge to bust some space rocks.
If only someone would port over SINISTAR. You know, because I HUNGER!

If you really wanna bust some space rocks, might I suggest the awesome 2600 homebrew, ironically titled Space Rocks

Dear sir,
I must complain in the strongest possible terms about your opinion on Robotron with one joystick.
Many of my best friends play Robotron with one joystick, and only a few of them dislike it.
Yours faithfully,
Brigadeer Sir Charles Arthur Strong (Mrs.)
Seriously, I find 7800 Robotron eminently playable with only one joystick. I've gotten used to it, and I find it offrs a bit of a different challenge from the arcade version.

Dear BSCAS(M),
After discussing this with my legal counsel, we have come to the conclusion that my original opinion and your opinion of my original opinion are both equally valid according to the case of Siskel v Ebert. (We will ignore Ebert v Roeper for this discussion).
Regards,
I, NSG
Actually I can understand this from my experience with Smash TV on the Sega Genesis which I had growing up. Another dual stick game, but I did get some enjoyment out of it with a single controller. I'm not sure, but I think one of the buttons allowed you to shoot backwards from the direction you were walking. I still think this would have helped the single joystick method for the 7800. Perhaps I have a hard time enjoying the single joystick method because (1) I got spoiled by using a twin stick and (2) I not that good at Robotron and found myself running away a lot without being able to easily fight back with single joystick.

I'm surprised you didn't pick up on the Monty Python reference in my last post. I am disappoint.

My apologies. My Monty Python memory banks aren't as strong as I wish.
Besides I was distraught over a dead parrot I bought. When I brought it home, it turned into a newt with sharp pointy teeth.
