Atari8bitCarts
I have in my possession Datasoft's Tumble Bugs, but in addition one that is not listed (other than on Atarimania as: "Originally entitled Dung Beetles, Tumble Bugs has been released for the two most popular gaming microcomputers by a company heretofore most famous as a publisher of adventure games." Dung Beetles wasn't supposed to be released under that name. One appears to be 24k, the other 48k. I have a sealed copy of both. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/79591-what-was-that-game/?hl=%2Bdung&do=findComment&comment=970160 Interested, PM me before going to eBay. Thanx.
José Pereira
Of course I can't but you can, for better, ask moderators to change Datamost to Datasoft on the tittle. P.s.- Indeed, Datamost its a well known company because of some magazines full pages advertisements with screens of some games for A8 and C64 that they never released like, at least Caveman and other I don't remember the name now (you can see it at GTW64 Games That Weren't)... Rybags
I remember reading the review and naming story in Creative Computing (Aug 1982), page 30 https://archive.org/details/creativecomputing-1982-08 I had no idea an Atari version of Dung Beetles ever existed, thought the name change took place before they did the Atari version so it's probably pretty rare. From the start of the article: Although the version of the program we have is called Dung Beetles, we are told by the manufacturer that by the time it reaches the marketplace it will have been renamed Tumble Bugs. This is a pity: we rather like the name Dung Beetles.
