I'm in That's great you don't have to play them all Just had my first few goes 1,834 5,821 8,999 Went right and got the first gold bar. on last go went left and got the first two treasures... not too exciting but will be ok for this short round. Pitfall II is superb but does take a long time to play. Pull down to drop off the swinging ropes There will be another catch-up round along with "Q", the poll will start towards the end of next week so suggestions welcome on the Play List

Gorfy
Hi folks. I usually play in the 2600 and 7800 HSC's. Decided to give this one a try, but I've always sucked at Pitfall. Anyways.......
+therealbountybob
Welcome Gorfy Good to see you have a set of paddles (if the cat will share them) feel free to browse the Atari sites and add a Q game suggestion to the games list thread So I went right and after the initial dearth of trasuere there was suddenly lots to collect... 59,456, 5:06 left when I decided to see just how deep that hole was Is there any reason to go under ground? Aparently YES! see this: Found some wiki pitfall! info (2600 ver) as atarimania doesn't have much! Edited September 27, 2014 by therealbountybob Pitfall! +therealbountybob
27500 what a boring game I guess it was a milestone on his programming development - the wiki is an interesting read. David Crane created a lot of great games; pitfall II is superb but I could never get far on the 2nd part of the game. Anyone here played Pitfall II and completed the first part or got far on the 2nd part? The party of the first part... Every great programmer will have a stinker or 2. I like Super Pitfall for the NES even though it sucks. (ladders that go no where, cheap deaths, not able to see the items i have to collect, the weird way that Harry dies.)

I'd have to say his #2 stinker was Laser Blast, which I purchased when I was a kid. Very repetitious and boring. On the other hand, he also made Kaboom!, a personal favorite. adam242
I am terrible at jumping the scorpions! After losing my first two lives to those bastards in rapid succession, I said screw it, I'm staying above ground. Made it to 68,730 before running out of time with my last life. NTSC this round.
