Lost Dragon
Yet another what could of been.....and i'd have liked to have seen.ST was served well with 'Future Sports' games with Speedball 1+2, Stormball etc but room for one more and i'd liked to have seen how Core approached the genre. galax
I either forgot or hadn't heard about that one. Maybe they couldn't get it fast enough to be playable- even the claimed 8fps would be pretty sluggish. Maybe an unfinished copy will surface one day...
Lost Dragon
:-( In the very early days of 'researching' for ST Gamer, i was 'chatting' to Simon Phipps (via email) about this game, he did tell me just how far along game had gotten etc, cannot recal if he still had any of his code still lying around either.I sadly deleted the email as Greyfox/myself decided not to run with the game in ST Gamer...sorry guys. Stefan_L
David Rowe said he made box artwork for an unreleased Core Design game... maybe it was for Retro?

Lost Dragon
Luckily Simon kept the emails and was kind enough to forward them back to me.So in his on words regarding Retro: 'Yep - I worked on Retro for a good few months and had a huge heap of fun drawing all the scaling sprites (similar to the stuff that the late Kev Bulmer did on Corporation.) On the 'Retro' project, I was doing the art and the programmer/designer was some external guy who'd worked on 3D stuff on the Amiga and ST on several projects. Anyways, some ways into the project, it got cancelled - exactly why, I don't recall (it's been a while!) - it wasn't due to the game not working' So there you have it and again huge thanks to Simon for taking time out to shed light on this.
