bradd1978
So I got a TG16 the other day quite cheap and initially it didn't work. Putting in a game gave me either a solid white, green, blue or purple screen. So I opened it up and cleaned the cart connector with electronics cleaner, got an old credit card and rag in there too. The usual to clean any retro system connector. Anyways I tried 3 times, and on the 4th try I got picture! I shut it off to try again and nothing. And I tried probably another 30 times after and got nothing. I checked the board and everything looked just fine, no broken traces. So my question - do I have a really badly dirty connector still or is there something else that is common to do this on the TG16? This is the first time I've had this ever happen on one and thought I'd reach out for some help :-) I was gonna desolder the connecter and really scrub it good but thought I'd ask around first. Thanks in advance!
bradd1978
Update: I desoldered the HuCard connector and everything looked normal and clean. I went over it again with alcohol and resoldered into place. Checked for broken traces, nothing So plugged a game back in.......nothing. Solid color screen. This is just bizarre Bad capacitors possibly? I'm really lost on this one
Theglitch86
Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
