JeffVav
Hi all, I thought people might be interested to hear about a different kind of Atari prototype... http://www.codemystics.com/products.shtml?-1 (Hard to say which forum it really belongs in: Emulation, Atari 2600 or Prototypes, but this seemed like the best fit.) mckafka99
Hi all, I thought people might be interested to hear about a different kind of Atari prototype... http://www.codemystics.com/products.shtml?-1 (Hard to say which forum it really belongs in: Emulation, Atari 2600 or Prototypes, but this seemed like the best fit.) Interesting story. If this had come out, I would have had to get another DsiXL console as Atari Vol 1&2 tend to sit semi permanently in my DSiXL and 3DSXL consoles. On a different topic, are there any plans to update the Atari iOS app for iOS8? I seem to have a lot of problems trying to run it on my iphone6+. Any plans for mfi controller support? We're not the publisher so we have no control over the app or its updates. There's a thread on our support forum about it if you want to subscribe to keep up with things as they (hopefully) progress: http://www.codemystics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=
goldenegg
I'm so pissed with the issues surrounding the Atari iOS app. It's inexcusable that it's no longer possible to download the games in newer versions of iOS.

Hope it all gets sorted out. I really like this app and was really looking forward to using it on the new iPhone 6+. I'm glad I have held off updating my iPad. I sympathise with your frustration, but the last time we were retained by Atari to do any work on the app was two years ago, before Atari's bankruptcy. Everyone was running iOS 5 back then. Something in iOS 8 isn't compatible with older apps that do what AGH did for downloading purchased content. It's rather hard to anticipate what an operating system that will not exist until 2 years from now is going to do to your code.
goldenegg
I'm not upset it broke. Im upset that Atari has been ignoring people who've been contacting them about this issue for months. I even reached out to them to make them aware that they would have to update when iOS 8 went beta.
Flojomojo
Situations like that make me long for a benevolent dictator to buy to up the ashes of Atari and take more care in looking after the old games. I wish these old emulation collections would get a digital release on 3DS. Intellivision Lives hogs up my cartridge slot most of the time.
