wolfy62
Still plenty of time to send me a guess for points scored in next week's games and win a free IFL t-shirt. 131 points were scored in week 1's four games. The deadline is noon CST Monday (kickoff for Smash @ Beamriders). And if you haven't checked out tacrec's game pictures on the IFL website, here are some samples. Very cool. BMRDatSHRK2.gifAMDAatSPRT1.gifDSTRatBMRS1.gif Those are cool pics! I am going to order some of your cool shirts too, they are awesome!!! maibock
Congrats to maibock for coming closest to guessing that 139 points would be scored in week 2 (PM sent). He's now the proud owner of an Intellivision Football League t-shirt! Next week brings another chance to get in on the fun and guess next week's point total. Send me your prediction sometime between now and Monday noon CST and you could be the envy of all your Intv friends when you win. Sweet - thanks man! mthompson
It's rematch week, with teams getting a chance to avenge week 1 losses. Early in the first quarter, it's Smash 3, Mutants 0. 2ND QUARTER UPDATE: The Smash have taken advantage of numerous Mutant turnovers and worked on a short field to build a 23-0 lead. HALFTIME UPDATE: Smash lead the Mutants at halftime 26-3. 3RD QUARTER UPDATE: The Mutants have bounced back and now trail the Smash 26-17 after 3 quarters. mthompson
The Smash add two field goals and crush the Mutants' comeback attempt with a 32-17 victory. Tonight's game pits the IFL's only remaining undefeated team, the Bombers, visiting the Destroyers. +intvsteve
Finally, the offenses show up! Or... did the defenses just collapse? The world may never know.
mthompson
We've got an offensive display so far this evening, with the Bombers and Destroyers tied 10-10 at the end of 1 quarter. HALFTIME UPDATE: The Destroyers' defense has grounded the Bombers' passing attack, while the offense has given them a 27-10 halftime lead. 3RD QUARTER UPDATE: The Bombers' defense holds firm, and a field goal narrows the Destroyers' lead to 27-13. mthompson
The Destroyers are shut out in the second half, but the Bombers' 4 field goals are not enough, and the Destroyers come away with a 27-22 win. Two more games tomorrow, with both the Beamriders and Armada looking for their first victories. mthompson
The Beamriders come back with 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to secure a 33-17 victory and their first win of the season! Tonight the Armada will try to avenge an embarrassing 46-6 thrashing the Spartans gave them in Week 1.

mthompson
At the end of the 1st quarter, the Armada and Spartans are locked up 3-3 HALFTIME UPDATE: The Armada's 5-yard touchdown pass just before the half gives them a 10-3 lead. 3RD QUARTER UPDATE: Plenty of scoring opportunities for both teams, but a single field goal by the Spartans cuts the Armada's lead to 10-6 at the end of the 3 quarters. mthompson
The Spartans pulled within 6, but an Armada interception in the end zone saved the game and gave the Armada its first win, 22-13. mthompson
Total points scored in week 3 were 183, and wolfy62 came the closest with his guess (PM sent). The exclusive and elusive Intellivision Football League t-shirt is now his. Congrats! Next week = another chance to win one of these. mthompson
Week 4 marks the halfway point in the season, and today's game between the Spartans and Beamriders is underway. The scoring has been fast and furious so far, with the Beamriders leading 20-3 at the end of the 1st quarter. HALFTIME UPDATE: The Spartans have come roaring back, including two scores in the last 30 seconds of the half, to cut the Beamriders' lead to 20-16. 3RD QUARTER UPDATE: The Spartans have scored five times in the 3rd quarter and taken a 39-23 lead. It should be a wild finish! Edited December 1, 2014 by mthompson
mthompson
After being down 20-3, the Spartans come back with a vengeance and zap the Beamriders 52-23 in the highest scoring IFL game this season! The Smash host the Destroyers at 6 Central tonight. See you then.
mthompson
In contrast to today's early game, both the Smash and Destroyers are playing tough defense. It's 6-3 Destroyers at the end of the 1st quarter. HALFTIME UPDATE: Neither team has found the end zone yet. It's tied up 6-6 at the half. 3RD QUARTER UPDATE: The Smash have edged into the lead, 9-6. It's still anyone's ball game. 4TH QUARTER UPDATE: Eight field goals so far, and the score is tied again, 12-12, midway through the 4th quarter. Should be quite an ending!
