ST demos with Cosmox Ex?

Where can I download demos that really show off the ST power (I have 4MB of memory) that work with hard drives (Cosmos Ex)?

Try pouet.net and demozoo.org . Most recent demos will work with HD. Older ones will probably not. Dbug have patched some demos for harddisk though

I downloaded some demos and some work - some do not. The ones that do not scroll the picture on my display. Is that because it is PAL? Is there any way to stop the scroll with my NTSC machine?

There is many demo which can work only at 50 Hz refresh rate because of used shifter tricks. It depends from monitor/TV will you be able to watch 50 Hz demos. And even some games may working only at 50 Hz. Any Atari can work at 50 and 60 Hz, but not all monitors.

I bought many games mail order in the 80s that were from the UK. On both of my Atari color monitors (Goldstar & Hitachi) all I had to do was adjust the vertical/horizontal hold on the back of the monitor.

 

I believe some demos require that you run the file (50.PRG) I have attached for them to run correctly. I know Acid Burn does.
