+grips03
I download and tried mte201 in jzintv, but its just baseball. The file also had a .int extension and not .bin or .rom Does this make sense? I did not see MTE201 on Intellivision rocks, is MTE201 rom on Intellivision Lives? Intymike
MTE201 has Baseball included. But it should run after the tests.
+intvsteve
As far as I know, the MTE-201 ROM has not been distributed on any commercial product. The ROM *does* include baseball, but it should not appear until after numerous stages of tests and prompts to proceed.
+Lathe26
Most of the MTE-201s have you play an inning of baseball at the end (after passing all the tests). However, there are some later MTE-201s that have Night Stalker instead.
+5-11under
In the test ROM that has Baseball, I don't see a way to access the tests as shown in this service manual: http://www.kohtz.com/andrew/intv_sm/ Edit: in the ROM I have, it jumps to Baseball right away. [mapping] $0000 - $0FFF = $5000 ; Baseball $1000 - $1FFF = $7000 ; The actual test program Without the config file, the test program slides down to $6000 - $6FFF and gets ignored.
+Lathe26
This isn't definitive, but here are the ROM sizes I have and what happens at the end: Baseball - 8KB Test Cart v1.0 - 8KB (no game of any kind at end) Test Cart v1.0a - 8KB (no game of any kind at end) Test Cart v3 - 16KB (Baseball at end) - note that this is the most common MTE-201 version I've seen. Test Cart v3.3 - 16KB (unknown, U03 fails in jzintv4droid emulator) Test Cart v4.1a - 12KB (no game, ends at just a green screen after passing all tests) Test Cart v4.1b - 20KB (Night Stalker at end)

intvnut
rename it from .int to .bin as well jzIntv should understand the .int suffix and that it needs to read a .cfg file if it's present. I'd particularly like to know why U03 fails, and if it's something I've fixed since the Android port.

It makes it to playing baseball with nostalgia. On jzintvwii it works perfect. I also have a rom version that fails in jzintv pc on u06 and a rom version that fails on u03 and u09. Also they fail on l&m Edited November 25, 2014 by pimpmaul69

I figured it out. If you run v3.3 with the Intellivision 2 EXEC, it passes. And the ROM image for 3.3 doesn't appear to have a game in it. intvnut
nostalgia needs it to be .bin to work. And yes it fails in pc jzintv. It makes it to playing baseball with nostalgia. It's the Intellivision 2 layout, not the Intellivision 1, I believe.

If i convert them to .rom they all end up with the same crc. I dont know how to really tell rom versions
pimpmaul69
Im guessing just version 3. They play baseball at the end of them. Not sure what 3.3 does Edited November 25, 2014 by pimpmaul69
pimpmaul69
I dont have the intv 2 exec but verified that the one i used on jzintvwii is the same one i use in jzintv pc. Works on the wii but not pc. Strange. If i hit enter it fails on u04 u06 u03 and u09 Edited November 25, 2014 by pimpmaul69

intvnut
They are all v3 Ok, cool. The current development version of jzIntv at least passes all tests in all versions of the test ROM I have. (Well, v3.3 requires the Inty II EXEC.) Older versions of jzIntv failed a couple edge-condition tests. However, I did just test jzIntv 1.0 Beta 4, and that version passed all tests in all versions as well. +intvsteve
IIRC the later versions of the test ROM also pass on the Sears console. Some fail, I suspect, because the EXEC is slightly different.

And the ROM image for 3.3 doesn't appear to have a game in it.That would make sense. The later versions of the test carts would put a 1 or 2 (maybe 3) above the version number to indicate that an Intellivision 1 or 2 was detected (maybe 3 for Sears?). When I ran v3.3, it printed 0 which made me raise an eyebrow. I didn't have time remaining this morning to investigate it.

Actually, that's the letter O, and it prints that whether I use the Inty 1 EXEC, Inty 2 EXEC or Sears EXEC. It looks like it's the result of a failed test for an Intellivision 2: . So it appears the intent was to print a red "M" on Intellivision 2s and a green "O" on everything else. The test fails because the word at $4FF is actually $300, not $000. Oops. I said "failed," but I meant "botched," as in the logic of the test is incorrect. (A failed test would mean "I checked for an Intellivision 2, but didn't see one because it actually wasn't an Intellivision 2." A botched test means "I checked for an Intellivision 2 on an Intellivision 2, and still didn't detect it was an Intellivision 2.")
