mightywiz
so I picked up an adam standalone system, just the console + 11 games + controller holder off ebay for $13.10 & some shipping. I already have the colecovision adam upgrade kit, will I need anything special to get this running or can I use my existing printer for the power supply. NIAD
Everything is 100% compatible between the Expansion Module #3 ADAM with ColecoVision and the Stand-Alone ADAM with built-in ColecoVision. So go ahead and hookup the Printer and Keyboard to this Memory Console you just won (saw that auction and couldn't believe the price you got it at!!!) and keep your fingers crossed that it's working. Whoops. There is an issue with two ColecoVision carts that will not play correctly on the Stand-Alone Memory Console and they are Defender and Super Cobra. Thankfully Nanochess patched the games and the patched rom images can be played thru a Multi-Cart on the Stand-Alone Memory Console.
mightywiz
cool thanks for all the info guy's, this for is awesome! Yeah I was amazed I won that auction, I only put in a $21 dollar bid. I didn't think I had a chance. I wanted it just because I have the upgrade kit and it's big and bulky and wanted something a little smaller, i'm also one of the lucky ones that owns an adam floppy disc drive. and I've had it since I bought it from sears new back in the 80's. my mom ordered me a stereo system for $200 dollars, I took it back and got the disc drive instead. darn parents if they'd just listen to us kids in the first place. lol hard to believe I have my original colecovision and adam from the 80's.
