IHATETHEBEARS
RIVER PATROL – I think I paid $400 for it back in early-2009. Apparently something about this game made it virtually impossible to make a repro of it. And I wanted a cartridge of every game. So I had to bite the bullet and shell out the cash – once I was lucky enough to find a seller of course.

Algus
Zellers, boxed and complete. Only together are they whole... Zellers1.jpg Reading this in your avatar's voice.
Tombstone
Until recently it was my River Patrol cart. Now own Asterix in ntsc so that would now be my favorite. Have an alleged ntsc Mangia coming in the mail and if that is indeed as advertised (skeptical) then that would easily be my favorite. Love the Zellers set above!! Unbeliever
And here I thought I didn't have something valuable. Well, to me it is, anyway. Here's what I found: *Sorcerer (Mythicon, 1983) *Sky Shipper (Nintendo of America, 1981) *Amidar (Komani Industry, 1982) *Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes (20th Century Fox, 1983) *Porkys (20th Century Fox, 1983) *M.A.D. (U.S. Games, 1982) Probably none of these are "rare", but they're unique for my collection. I also have a copy of Space Chase that I can see offhand in my loose carts. -Steve
Tombstone
Mangia cart i received from an eBay seller yesterday indeed turned out to be a genuine ntsc cart. It is now my favorite. Not sure of the value......and don't care.

Mayhem
Bare board Magicard probably, with manual and unused overlays, inside ShyOne box. Given I've sold pretty much all the other ultra rare 2600 games I have.

WienerWuerstel
The most "valuable" game in my 2600 collection would be Glacier Patrol. I got it in a box with a whole bunch of other games. It seems to go for around €70~ on ebay right now.
Atarian7
Since it is what I value the most and not the most expensive, I would say my CIB Kaboom! in mint condition and my loose Kaboom! cartridge. My most expensive and rare game is River Patrol which I paid $400.01 to get. Oh yeah, I would say my Kaboom! is priceless. GrimlockDESTROY
I have a few rarities that are worth more than this is, but it is my favorite piece out of everything I own. H.E.R.O sealed in the box. Took me forever to find this.

K.Michael
haha probably my atari 2600 itself, it's only a 6-switcher woody (light), but I live in Australia. I don't know how much it is *supposed* to be worth, but after constant attempts to buy one for about a year, I grabbed it and 5 really common games for $160. Not sure if it was a steal, or if it was way overpriced, all I know is that after months of being outbid it was the price I was willing to pay (and am glad I did because I've been in love with the system since) (most games here are $5-15, so everything in down under is pretty pricey) Edited February 21, 2015 by K.Michael

K.Michael
PAL, I bought an NTSC SNES to save money on games, but it was going to be too complicated with the Atari because of the way it hooks up, so I went the lazy route
Philflound
Not everyone has been a collector a long time, so my hats go off to you who own any game that you consider rare, even if it's only worth $10-20. Your collections will build over time. As for me, it's probably my loose Malagai or Boing. My sealed Kid Vid and sealed Berenstain Bears are pretty good too. TheVgaTv
I found this at a Goodwill for 99 Cents. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume I got a good deal on it.
gonzo9966
I am always late to these but better late than never, mine would have to be my enders carts with manuals and my Espial cart. Love these type of threads as I can see what else I should be on the lookout for.

That's probably someone making a home made label. It's always possible it's a prototype. Weigh it compared to another Demon Attack. Torr
My rarest cart was Master Builder. Had it forever. Hated it forever. Once I learned it's value I traded it for a bunch of SMS (or was it Genesis?) games pretty quick. Not sure what my rarest is now... According to AA rarity database I have Dragon Treasure (Zellers version of Dragonfire... I think Dragon Treasure is a more suitable name though!) and Double Dragon (Black Label); both R5s. I don't think they are THAT rare though... especially Zellers carts, they are (or at least were) pretty common up here in Canada, everyone I knew (my Atari gaming buddies that is!) back in the day had a couple of these knock-offs. *However there's only a couple copies of Dragon Treasure (~$50) and no Black Label Double Dragon on eBay right now so I guess that says something! I know I'd sell my Dragon Treasure for 50 bucks! Especially since I recently got the original Dragonfire in a lot. Dragon Treasure does stack nicer though, and a nice easy to read end label... plus it's the one I had as a kid... but 50 bucks is 50 bucks! high voltage
I love Master Builder, I made it to the History Museum (second last building), but never finished it. So close.
