Ataritard
I need one of the long rollers... Inside the trackball there are three rollers. Two long ones and One short one. I figure it's worth a few bucks if anyone's got an otherwise defective trackball and could harvest one of the rollers out of it for me. I'd really appreciate it! There are bearings and encoder wheels but I don't need any of that. Thank you.
+save2600
Whoops! Never mind about the BEST bit. Totally ignored the X-Arcade text in the heading and thought you were talking about an Atari trackball. Anyway, I might have what you're looking for... this roller measures exactly 1-3/4" across. Ataritard
Does anyone know what brand of trackball X-Arcade uses? Happ? Imperial? Are they all the same? Ebay has them for $7.69. I could go that route.
JohnnyBlaze
Guy, if you are looking to repair your X-Arcade Trackball, just call them up. They usually offer a lifetime warranty on all parts. That's what really sold me on my Dualstick that I use in my MAME bartop.
Tombstone
I second what Johnny just mentioned. I have purchased several of their Tank Stiks and they will pretty much set you up for free. If no luck with them I actually have one in my garage that is for parts. I am sure that long roller is still in there. Sean Edited December 18, 2014 by Tombstone
Ataritard
I appreciate the advice guys. I emailed X-Arcade people a few weeks ago stating I bought this second hand and they offered a full set of replacement rollers and bearings for $15 which is fair but I really don't need the whole set. I'll call them when I get a chance and see if if they offer any other options. If not I'll take Tombstone up on his offer for one of his spare rollers. Thanks again.
